Guidebook: Wroxeter Roman City

Wroxeter Roman City contains the impressive remains of a Roman bath house, set in rolling farmland by the River Severn. This is all that is visible of what was once the fourth largest town in Roman Britain. Recent research has revealed a number of new buildings in the immediate surroundings, suggesting that the town was more built-up than previously thought, with a population of perhaps 5,000 people at its height.
