Guidebook: Richborough and Reculver

Richborough was once the thriving entrance port to the Roman province of Britannia, and the extensive remains of several phases of building here can still be seen. Most striking are the massive stone walls surviving from the later phase of Roman occupation, and the thousands of finds discovered here, some of which are on display in the site museum.
