Guidebook: Wenlock Priory

The beautiful ruins of the priory have their origins in the seventh century, when St Milburge became abbess and brought fame to Wenlock through appearing to perform miracles. Its elaborate stone carvings date from its later heyday, when it was one of the largest monastic churches in the country.
