John Jaques - Compendium Delux

John Jaques II was the ingenius mind behind most of our indoor pursuits, inventing Happy Families, Tiddledy-Winks, Ludo and Snakes & Ladders as well as developing a large demand for Dominoes, Draughts and Backgammon, all of which the Company produced. John II's originality and business acumen were rewarded with the Freedom of teh City of London in 1869.The wood used to manufacture this product is from sustainable sources FSC and PEFC. Jaques hand built polished Mahogany indoor games compendium features a doube-sided inlaid Maple and Walnut Backgammon and Chess board with fitted Mahognay cabinet. The compendium includes a set of Boxwood Staunton Chessmen, Backgammon components, Draughts, Dominoes, Pokerdice, Bridge, attractive inlaid Cribbage board, playing cards and Jaques original Happy Families and Snap.
