

Aston Pottery was founded in 1991 by Stephen and Jane Baughan with the criteria to design and produce a range of kitchen, gift and tableware which can be used every day.
From raw clay to pristine finished article, all the pottery is made and painted on site. They use traditional methods of production; slip casting; pressing; jigger and jolleying.
They also use traditional industrial processes to manufacture the shapes combined with a stencilling techniques developed to decorate the ceramic surface. The pieces are then glazed using modern materials to create the finest quality microwave and dishwasher proof china for everyday use.
Auricula: Believed to have been brought to this country by refugee Flemish weavers in the late 1600s, the auricula a form of primrose was a great success and during the 18th and 19th centuries many English country estates featured an auricula theatre as a way to showcase these beautiful, colourful flowers. They still exist on some estates today.
The auricula is a myriad colourways with Several different layers of hand-painting stencilled onto each piece of pottery to build up an extraordinary depth of colour. The colour is Cobalt Blue, All the pottery is designed, developed, produced and hand decorated Aston Pottery workshop in Aston, Oxfordshire.
It is diswasher and microwave safe.
