Dr. Simon Thurley is a leading architectural historian and has been Chief Executive of English Heritage, the Government's principal advisor on the historic environment in England, since 2002. He is also Visiting Professor on the Built Environment at Gresham College, and has a lifelong passion for caring for and understanding our heritage.
