Leeds has enjoyed a renaissance over the past 15 years; its role as a centre for business, finance and law has gone from strength to strength. The tangible results are evident in the new building rising ever outwards from the city centre, in the new offices, and in the housing, restaurants and shops that are brought into being by that commercial success.

This book, which is based on the work carried out by English Heritage's Research Department, looks at what has happened to places of worship in Leeds over the 20th century and examines the buildings that have been constructed since 1900.
