Traditional Mead is a sweet, deliciously full flavoured honey based wine. The mead is bright amber gold in colour and has aromas of rich honeycomb bursting through. Almost like a dessert wine in its presentation. The honey flavour is very natural and clean with a cider-esque mouth feel and balance of acid to flavour. It is one of the oldest known alcoholic beverages dating back to Babylonian times. A great accompaniment to strong cheeses and full flavoured casseroles.
